![]() ![]() I would agree with others that I did get frustrated with Cilla and there were times I wanted to shout at her to do just this. But Ivan sees through this and while he’s happy to fight for the both of them he wants Cilla to stand up for herself as well. What she didn’t expect was that Ivan would actually see her, Cilla is used to being used, she’s just a shell who has no fight in her. ![]() But honestly she’s happy if he actually kills her as at least then she’ll gain her freedom from her father. Her next task is to reel Ivan into her fathers web, she’s not stupid and knows just who Ivan is, who he’s associated with and and how dangerous he is. She’s been experimented on with a variety of drugs and made to be the plaything of her fathers men. It’s fair to say that at the hands of her father Arthur and his men the experiences that Cilla has endured is nothing short of horrific. It would be best to read the other books in this series as it gives you a greater understanding of the overall storyline, the role of the Society and the characters who pop up in this book. This is the fifth instalment of the Doubeck Crime Family Series and focuses on Ivan another of Adrian’s Five and Pricilla (Cilla)Capri. ![]() The themes depicted in this story are not for the faint of heart, this book is quite gritty and violent at times but also quite emotional. Wow well this story started off dark and didn’t let up. ![]()
